Hi guys....

I have a question....what is the best way to get black hair to "pop" when photographed on a black background? He is also holding a black guitar.
Any advice would be awesome.

Any other "cool" ideas would be awesome!

Not sure what you mean by pop, but if you mean to show up against a black background..

Done with curves and sharpen.

I guess it doesn't look too bad, but it seems like the hair and the guitar should show up more.

Hey Crystal,

I apologize for the late response.

Knocked out the image, after adjusting curves to find edges.
Straightened the image, using the guitar as the basis.
Changed BG, trying to not make it the center of attention.
Ran shadow/highlights to bring out his hair.
Added some tonality to his image.

Didn't spend a lot of time on this, seeing you were only asking for suggestions to bring out the hair.
